Career Expo Overview
Adams County Commissioners' Career Expo
The Adams County Commissioners' Career Expo is a unique, one-of-a-kind career fair designed to get 8th grade youth thinking about their future education and career goals. This annual event is particularly remarkable since it is designed to accommodate the total county 8th grade population and introduce them to professionals in their selected industry choices.
With consistently growing numbers every year we are able to widen our impact, yielding positive effects for both attending students as well as the community at large.
We owe a huge thank you to the Adams County Commissioners for their support of this event and the job creation they are promoting through these efforts. We also thank The Denver Merchandise Mart for hosting the event, the Adams County Sheriff's department for providing security. We thank the logistics assistance this program receives from the Colorado State Pupil Transportation Association.
We value and thank all of our vendors, educators, administrators and volunteers for working so hard to ensure the success of Adams County Commissioners' Career Expo.
Please make plans to join us on November 17, 2009 for our sixth event. If you are interested in participating as a vendor or volunteer, please contact Janie Goodwin at jgoodwin@adamscountyed.com.
Looking to host a Career Expo on your own? Download the attached file for some hints, planning documents, and templates that will get you started. Our event was the model for the Jobing.com event taking place in Phoenix, AZ in April of 2009.
We wish you success with your efforts.
