MMP Partners with CAMA to Host the First, Statewide CTE Advisory Summit

Oct. 1st, 2015

Industry Advises Education: On Thursday, October 1st, as a part of the Manufacturing Day Summit, the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (CAMA) held a breakfast, in partnership with the Metro Manufacturing Partnership (MMP), for manufacturing-focused K-12 Educators from the Denver Metro area. The breakfast provided an opportunity for teachers to learn about innovations in advanced manufacturing and to ask their most pressing curriculum questions to the manufacturers in attendance.

Teachers who attended this meeting (and another meeting that will take place in early 2016) can fulfill their CTE advisory board requirement for program approval. ACEC convened several Adams County districts who were represented at the summit (D. 27J, D.14, D.50, and D.12)

Other sectors are now looking to replicate this model to further guide educators towards relevant, workforce-related curriculum.
