ACCELERATE YOUR PEOPLE SKILLS
Formerly Backpacks to Briefcases, we have renamed the event Classroom to Career Symposium to engage students in fresh, relevant career skills workshops along with a networking and mentorship luncheon. Students will attend multiple workshops based on the Colorado Graduation Requirements 21st Century people skills before we all come back together for a lunch with speakers and networking with industry professionals. The event exists to help high school students make a graceful transition into the real world of work or continuing education. Students from School District 27J, Adams 12 Five Star Schools, Adams 14 School District, Bennett School District, Mapleton Public Schools, Pinnacle Charter Schools, Strasburg School District and Westminster Public Schools are invited to participate.

EXPAND THE BOXES BELOW TO SEE HOW TO SEE HOW YOU CAN PLAY A ROLE IN PREPARING HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES FOR "WHAT'S NEXT"
Employers across the state tell us that their number one concern with new employees is a lack of soft-skills. In the era of texting and technology, students aren't as equipped to communicate effectively in a business setting. Additionally, many of our students have never experienced a professional setting and lack an understanding of employer expectations, beyond soft skills.
Help promote C2C to your students and give them a leg-up on preparing for life after high school--whether it's their next college interview or applying for a job.
This event is designed to help you navigate life after high school. Let’s face it, how many of us actually know what we need to do to make it in the real world? Participating in the C2C event can help you find your passion, plan your future, learn interview skills and prepare for success.
Plus, you’ll meet business professionals who want to help you get to the next step in your life!
